Jaya- The Journey Is Coming To A Close

Hello, everyone! This is Jaya, and I am back with my fifth post!

Now, there is a little over a month before the Young Scientist Challenge Final Event. It’s hard to believe how fast time flies!

School has started and I am back in my normal routine, but I am still having so much fun working through my project. This whole journey has been amazing, with challenges and adventures that pushed me past my limits and helped me grow. One of my favorite parts of innovating is critically thinking about the problem and finding unique ways to solve them. I have developed this skill by working on this project and I know that it will help me later on in the real world. At the same time, I still face challenges along the way. For example, I am currently working on using a device driver that communicates with both the actual device and its operating system. This is a difficult task, but I know that with some guidance and hard work, I will be able to complete it.

Having a 3M mentor guide me is an amazing opportunity that I am so grateful to have. My mentor, Dr. Demirgoz, has opened so many doors for me and has always been there to support me. Throughout the whole process, her encouragement, feedback, and critique have helped me learn to be a better innovator and thinker.

Thank you, readers, for staying with me through my journey. I will share more with you in the next(and final) blog post.

See you next time!
